WAYZATA kicked- off the holiday season with ENCHANTMENT A Holiday Shopping Experience for the Entire Family Wayzata’s eclectic retail community combined efforts this holiday season to create not only a one-of-a-kind shopping and dining event, but a fun holiday experience for the whole family to enjoy! The enchantment began on Thursday evening when shop owners extended hours and offered scrumptious snacks and seasonal specials for GIRLS NIGHT OUT. NorthCoast and Sunsets also joined in the fun and served the ladies late night happy hour specials. On Saturday families gathered with their children to spot Santa, ride horse drawn wagons and shop ‘til they dropped! WLTE 102.9 came out for an onsite broadcast to meet, greet and give away FREE Starbucks coffee to event goers. The holiday event wrapped up on Saturday evening with the Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Wayzata Historic Depot. Carols were sung by the Wayzata Women’ s Choir while children huddled close to the fire to stay warm and roast marshmallows in anticipation of the Tree Lighting. Overall it was a great kick-off to a wonderful holiday season. Even if you missed out on the event, you are still encouraged to check out the great holiday merchandise our retailers have to offer! We truly are a community unlike any other! Happy Holidays!
