The Walk for Kids and Families will benefit the Caring for Kids Initiative (CfKI)
by raising funds and increasing awareness of the need for accessibility toearly
childhood education for low-income families in our community. The CfKI Walk
for Kids and Families will be the kickoff event for the 36th annual James J. Hill
Days on Sat. Sept. 11 at Klapprich Park. James J. Hill Days is a community
celebration of the Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce.
We will enlist families, local businesses, faith communities, student and
community groups as well as early education programs connected with our
initiativeto gather participants. Participants will be encouraged to raise pledges
in support of CfKI. Walkers are encouraged (but not required) to raise $100 or
more in pledges for early education scholarships for CfKI. Information to help
secure pledges will be included in your registration packet by mail or e-mail.
Activities will be accessible for everyone.
